Why this site exists
Pickleball is easy to start and surprisingly hard to get good at. Most new players pick up a paddle, join a game, and then run into the same questions: How does the score work? Why can't I step into the kitchen? Which paddle should I actually buy?
The Pickle Path answers those questions in plain language. Our goal is simple: help you understand the game, improve one shot at a time, and spend your money on gear that makes a real difference.
What we cover
Rules, scoring, serving, the kitchen, and beginner basics.
Step by step tutorials for dinks, drops, serves, returns, and volleys.
Doubles positioning, shot selection, and smarter decisions.
Buying guides for paddles, shoes, balls, nets, and accessories.
How we choose gear
When we recommend a product, we study its specifications, compare what real players report about it, check whether it is approved for sanctioned play, and explain the trade offs in plain words. We would rather tell you that a cheaper paddle is enough than push you toward something you do not need.
We never accept payment to rank a product higher, and brands do not review or approve our content before it is published.
How we keep guides accurate
Rules and products change. We review our guides regularly, update them when official rules or product details change, and correct mistakes as soon as we find them. If you spot something that looks wrong, please let us know.
Who is behind the site
The Pickle Path is written and edited by Chase Dillard, who writes our beginner guides, shot tutorials, and gear buying guides.
